Signing MoU with LSPPO FP UNS Equipping Graduates with Organic Agriculture Competence

The Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University (FP UNS) cooperates with the Organic Agriculture Professional Certification Institute (LSPPO). This collaboration makes FP UNS a place for competency testing as well as equipping graduates with competency certificates in the field of organic agriculture.

The Cooperation Agreement was signed by the Dean of FP UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samanhudi, SP, M.Si, IPM, ASEAN Eng and the Director of the Organic Agriculture Professional Certification Institute, Dr. I Nyoman Oka Tridjaja, Saturday 12 June 2021.

Prof. Samanhudi in his speech said that this collaboration is one of the commitments of FP UNS to realize the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM). The form of MBKM is to equip UNS FP graduates with competency certificates in the field of organic agriculture.

 "This also means that the FP [UNS] lecturers will also become assessors in the implementation of the certification," said Prof. Samanhudi.

Dr. Nyoman emphasized the importance of university graduates having competency certificates. This, according to him, is a job demand in the industrial world.

"I really appreciate the Faculty of Agriculture [UNS] which always opens itself to synergize in the implementation of the technical certification of the organic farming profession," he said.

Professional Intern

Meanwhile, the Deputy Dean for Planning, Cooperation, Cooperation, Business and Information of FP UNS, Dr. Agung Wibowo, stated that the cooperation agreement includes several things, namely resource persons or experts in the field of agriculture and student professional internships.

Then the implementation of the competency test in accordance with the Indonesian Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) in the Organic Agriculture Sector and the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).

"Other things are in the form of lecturer internships and activities to support the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM)," said Dr. Great.
